HomeGame Hero — Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 30, 2026

HomeGame Hero (“the app”, “we”) helps people organize and track home poker games — invites, RSVPs, seating, buy-ins/cash-outs, and end-of-night settlement. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

What we collect

• Account info: your email address (for sign-in) and the display name / nickname you choose.
• Profile & group photos: images you upload for your profile or a group.
• Game-tracking data you enter: games, groups, players, buy-ins, add-ons, cash-outs, expenses, IOUs, and settlement results. These are amounts you record to keep track of a home game — HomeGame Hero does not process, hold, or transfer any real money; all payments happen outside the app.
• Device push token: if you enable notifications, an Apple Push Notification token so we can notify you of invites and game events.
• Technical basics: standard request data (e.g. timestamps) needed to operate the service.

We do not collect location, contacts, browsing history, or advertising identifiers.

How we use it

• To provide the core features (run and sync your games across your devices and the people you invite).
• To send notifications you opt into (game invites, game started, group requests/approvals).
• To secure accounts and prevent abuse.

We use your data only to operate the app — not for advertising or profiling.

Where it’s stored / who processes it

• Supabase (our backend: database, authentication, file storage, and serverless functions) hosts your data on infrastructure located in the United States. Supabase acts as our data processor.
• Apple Push Notification service (APNs) delivers notifications to your device if you enable them.

These providers process data on our behalf to run the service. We share data with no one else, and we never sell it.

Sharing within the app

Data you create is visible to the people you choose to share it with: members of groups you join, and players you invite to a game (e.g. a game’s participants can see that game’s buy-ins/results). That sharing is the point of the app and is controlled by you (who you invite / approve).

Your choices and rights

• Delete your account at any time: Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, the games you hosted, and the groups you own from our systems. This cannot be undone.
• Edit or remove data: you can edit profiles, delete games/transactions you host, and leave or manage groups in the app.
• Notifications: you control these in iOS Settings and in the app.
• Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete your personal data — contact us and we’ll help.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your account and the data you own are deleted from the live database. Routine backups, if any, age out on their normal cycle.

Children

HomeGame Hero is intended for adults (rated 17+) and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and access is controlled by per-user authentication and database row-level security. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Changes

We may update this policy; we’ll change the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
